According to Ibn Tamiyyah, a Salaf compliant scholar of Islam who is very popular amongst Sunni Muslims and whose books are preferred by a vast majority of the same, Jihad is considered more important than the prayer, fasting and hajj requirements of Islam. Views like this will most likely be used by Islamic Fundamentalist groups to recruit from the Muslim candidate pool and justify their expected and “mandatory” participation in region specific and or global terrorist operations.

Discernment of Mergence Factors – Osama bin Laden has clearly manipulated poverty/religion/militancy factors in a way that has allowed him to build a global network with terrorist inclinations that have led to a significant amount of terrorist attacks on region and global specific levels.

Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda are clearly at the forefront of efforts that are geared towards reinstituting a global Islamic Caliphate. Regrettably, many American experts continue to deny this reality. However, it is irrefutable that the “projected equivalence” of Osama bin Laden’s influence and authority is that of Murshid/Mujtahid/Sheik and “Calipha” for all intents and purposes concerning the radical Islam models that recruits from a base of 1.5 billion Muslims (one fifth of the world’s population).

Elitist Sponsorship- Osama bin Laden was essentially backed by an elitist contingent of wealthy and influential Wahabi Muslims from Saudi Arabia.  

Money/Control- Osama bin Laden’s control is based on material wealth/elitist sponsorship/Salaf Bida factors that allowed him to obtain Murshid/Mujtahid/Sheik to “Caliphate” influence in theory and actuality due to real world/real time/multiple theatre related factors (Al Qaeda/Global/Network).
